Whatcha Readin’ 2011 Edition

So, I’m fairly certain the last book I listed for 2011 will be finished in the next two days, so it’s probably safe to assume this is my book list for 2011. As you may notice (compared to years past; see the Books tab for details), the introduction of the Kindle has sped up my reading considerably. 1. Wow that’s a lot of books. I used to read that much but I’ve been so caught up in social media lately I really haven’t had time.

In no particular order this is what I managed to read this year:

    Imaginary Friends by Terry Brooks
The Measure of the Magic by Terry Brooks
    Spend Shift by John Gerzema
    Musicophilia by Oliver Sacks
Just a Geek by Wil Wheaton
A Princess of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
The Gods of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
The Warlord of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Thuvia, Maid of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
The Chessmen of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
The Mastermind of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
A Fighting Man of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Swords of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Synthetic Men of Mars by Edgar Rice Burroughs
Llana of Gathol by Edgar Rice Burroughs
John Carter of Mars: The Skeleton Men of Jupiter by Edgar Rice Burroughs
(can you tell I was on an ERB/Mars kick this year?)
The Varieties of Scientific Experience: A Personal View of the Search for God, by Carl Sagan, Edited by Ann Druyan
The Genesis Quest by Donald Moffitt
    Second Genesis by Donald Moffitt
Game of Thrones by George R R Martin (still working on that one)

So not quite as long a list, but at least I did read some books!!! πŸ™‚ My goal is to finish all the Game of Thrones series in 2012, and we’ll see where I go from there.

    • A Song of Ice and Fire is a great series – I can’t wait for the next one to come out. I’m working my way through Katherine Kurtz’s Deryni series now – if you like ASOIAF you’d probably like those as well.
